Bishop Cottons Boys' School

Motto: “Nec Dextrorsum Nec Sinistrorsum” which means Neither to the right nor to the left.

Where It All Began:

Established in 1865, it’s an all boys school for boarders and day scholars situated in Bangalore, India.

The school was founded by Reverend St Pettigrew, he was also the founder of Cathedral High School.

It’s named in the honor of Bishop Cotton  of Calcutta.

The School Song

The school song was penned by Rev. Herbert Pakenham-Walsh, it follows the spirit of the school motto.

The school organizes and conducts  the cottonian shield, one of Bangalore’s most prestigious cricket tournaments under 14 and under 16 levels.

Infrastructure

14 acres is a huge land for a school to be in and cottons is a school having a 14 acre land. The consists of beautiful buildings and a lot of trees. Trees make sure that there is a lot fresh air.  The atmosphere is perfect in making a good and pleasant mood for students to study. The campus is clean and tidy. The students are well disciplined. The school has all the required amenities. The class rooms are big and bright. The school is well planned.

All in all the school is a student’s dream come true. The school has everything that a student would need to reach success and be a gentleman. I hope the school continues to uphold the ideals and quality of education.
